The Incorporation of Skinners was one of the Seven Incorporated Trades of the Royal Burgh of Stirling, ranking sixth in order of priority.
There is no record of the actual origin of the CRAFTS incorporation in Stirling.
When the earliest Town Council Minutes, that have been preserved, began in 1519, we find the Trades already in existence, with their principles of administration well established.
The Incorporation of Skinners support the Allan School in Stirling by awarding annual prizes for the most improved boy and girl in Primary seven.
